The Detroit Lions took another step closer to the NFC North division title this past weekend.

Good morning, folks! Welcome to the Water Cooler Sports Black, Blue, and Ornery, your source for NFC North News on this Monday, December 2nd, 2013.

Well, wasn’t that a kick to the jelly beans! In two divisional games this past weekend, the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears nearly took themselves out of the playoff race, sustaining bad losses to the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings, respectively.

Detroit (7-5) now holds the divisional race squarely in their hands with a one-game lead over Chicago (6-6) — including the season sweep.

After going 0-4-1 in the absence of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay (5-6-1) technically remains alive but undoubtedly needs Rodgers to return from his fractured collarbone this week to face the Atlanta Falcons.

Chicago probably will get quarterback Jay Cutler back for the Monday night match-up against the Dallas Cowboys, but considering the fact that the play of backup Josh McCown hasn’t been the issue, it’s pointless to believe Cutler can himself salvage a season marred by injury and defensive ineptitude.

Anything can still happen, but it appears likely that Green Bay and Chicago must hope for some good fortune and a Detroit collapse to have any real shot at winning the division and securing that playoff spot.

I don't get how people can't see that Microsoft is following the exact same plan they did with the 360.

Pay developers a bunch of money for exclusives so people think they will have good games, sell a lot of consoles, then just reap in the xbox live money from games like COD, Battlefield, and Halo.

Meanwhile, those "exclusives" that came out at launch will end up going multi-platform. Just look at games like Bioshock and Mass Effect. The Xbox One's version is Titanfall.

So Detroit is in control of their own destiny for the first time ever...

but they continue to have issues with turnovers and against teams with better offenses... 4 turnovers would have been golden.

They have a very tough schedule down the stretch as well.. @PHI, vs BAL, vs NYG, and @MIN.

I could see them losing at least two of those games.  PHI can score with them.. BAL and NYG are both playing very good playoff caliber football right now and MIN is playing solid right now too and can surprise teams.

Whereas GB, if they have Rodgers, has a easier schedule in ATL, @DAL, PITT, and @CHI.

And Chi has DAL, @CLE, @PHI, and vs GB which is a modest but not hard schedule especially if GB is without Rodgers.

Maized can't even lose right! He was 1 game away from being completely defeated (I assume that's the opposite of undefeated) in Fantasy and he fucking won! What a dork.

Although, NW Animals should feel more shame for losing to him.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly suing Rockstar for using her likeness in the game GTAV.

After reading the alleged case, she doesn't have a leg to stand on and must be desperate for money.

And this is bad why? People don't only get certain systems just for the games. Interfac, graphics, add ons play a large role as well.

As a guy planning to get a PS4, and no interest in the Xbone, I think Titanfall looks pretty cool.

I like the PS4 so far.. FIFA is the fucking shit on there..

I think that Madden is fucking garbage this year no matter what system... NCAA is 10x better at its in-game engines.. but they are no longer making NCAA which blows.
