Updated: November 9, 2013

Tune in to It’s Your Dime tonight at 8pm central and be delighted by the wonders of radio.

Ten weeks into the season and the NFL is getting more interesting. It’s Your Dime co-hosts Rourke Decker and Nate Koenig will delve deeply into the the current state of the of the league at . Phone lines will be open so call in. (347) 857-3701

We already witnessed the Minnesota Vikings(2-7) beat the Washington Redskins(3-6) but how will their NFCN foes fare this week. Detroit(5-3) travels to Chicago(5-3) in and effort to prove the division is the Lions hands at this point. The Eagles(4-5) travel to Green Bay(5-3) to face a Rodgers-less Packers team that has hopes of not crashing and burning.

In the NFCS we have the Seahawks(8-1) going in to Atlanta to face their frightfully fragile cousins the Atlanta Falcons(2-6). The Carolina Panthers(5-3), on the upswing lately, are going to San Francisco(6-2) to make a statement about the Niners. We will find out during the game if Panthers fans are right about what that statement will be. The Dallas Cowboys(5-4) will be riding into New Orleans(6-2) in hopes of handing Brees and the Saints another loss. Lastly we have the win-less Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Miami Dolphins(4-4) on Monday night. can the Bucs finally scratch out a win?

Nate and Rourke will be joined by Robert J. Russ, WCS’s resident fantasy football guru, for their weekly fantasy segment. Call in if you have fantasy football concerns.(347) 857-3701

I want to see some of this today

I think the key to beating the Bears is to hit Cutler early. We hit Cutler 3 or more times in the 1st, and he will crumble. Dudes attitude is his Achilles heal.

I wont be able to watch this entire lions game- anybody want to come step in for me at the half?

Steelers sources tell Ian Rapoport to expect the QB to ask them to explore trade options. He's upset with coaches, not just Todd Haley.

I think a lot of people are conveniently forgetting the fact that last week Wallace was thrown into a game he had not prepared for, on a team he hasn't been with for even half-a-season, with probably zero practice with first-team reps, and one of his main offensive lineman and several defensive players were hurt.

I'm not saying he's gonna get much better, but to compare him with McCown's situation, who had 2 full weeks to prepare for a game with full reps, and say there's no way Wallace could get better, is a little ridiculous. I'm holding off judgement until after today's game.

if the lions win this game I think they win the north

I think people overplay the "thrown into the game thing".

1. First off that is what every backup job entails. It is his and the coaches job to have him prepared for that scenario...the only probable one!

2. McCown was thrown into a game two weeks earlier in Washington with similar injuries around him and excelled.

3. Wallace has the worst points scored record of EVERY ACTIVE QB in the league from when he was a starter for a brief period.

4. Wallace had an amazing advantage...with the loss of Cobb and Finley and others the guys he got the bulk of his practice time on the second team were there with him for weeks and he should have had a comfort level with them...Boykin and Quarless primarily.

I expect the Bears to have a much better performance today then they had the last game.

1. Most backups aren't asked to throw to a decimated WR corp behind a battered Oline who isn't even good on a healthy day.

2. McCown has been with the Bears a LOT longer than Wallace with the packers, and has one of the better WR groups to throw to. And the Redskins suck balls defensively.

3. I never said Wallace was great, just that judging his Bears performance is misleading.

4. I don't see how losing 2 of the best receivers on the team is in any way an advantage without spinning the situation. You can be as comfortable as possible with a bunch of mediocre guys, that doesn't stop them from being mediocre.

haha!  Hey, I get to see the Green Bay Packers play!  Wallace will be ok.  Pack will win this one.  No way are they going to lose 2 in  a row at home.  Have you ever  been to Lambeau? Not gonna happen. :P

He has an average career passer rating of 80. I'd be fine if he just reached that in the game.

And I am not saying they won't win. But Wallace will be twice as good as he has ever been if he can reach your lofty goal of "OK"

Maized and Confused

Again, I'm not Saying Wallace is ever going to be any more than just OK, but his career average is definitely better than what we saw against the Bears.

I'm sure you've NEVER used a % for an injured player coming from time-off ever in a football discussion. And "Less-than-100%" is far from imaginary. It's pretty easy for someone who watched the team a lot to spot someone not playing at their norm.

robertj72

JAmes was not "clearly not 100%" to people not trying to excuse Wallace. Good enough to start , good enough to play. You don't get to create imaginary percentages of ok.

They didn't have Finley or Cobb, or Lang after the first half, and Jones was clearly not at 100%. Comparing what GB had on the field to Chicago is ludicrous. The People GB had on the field are very good, don't get me wrong, but Aaron Rodgers made them great, not the other way around. Jordy Nelson was the only truly amazing player Wallace had to throw to, and the offensive line gave him zero time to read through a progression.

1. Decimated? Nelson and James Jones is better than 2/3rds the top two WR in the league and Boykin looked very competent as #3 the last two weeks.

2. Again the GB WRs on the field last week were just as good as the Chicago corps.

3. I don't see how it is misleading if it mirrors what he has done in the past as a starter. Seems like consistently blah.

4. Again...what...James Jones was back. You were doewn one WR last week. And Boykin has shown far more promise than mediocre. In fact before last week fans and experts were saying he deserved to carve into James Jones touches with his level of play.

edit: I guess you mean losing Finley I would place him as the fifth best receiver on the team behind Boykin. Finley has been more promise than talent for nearly 4 years now. Fans don't get to (rightfully) complain that he is a bust for 3 years and then complain that he is injured and would have helped.

You can feel that GB will win. I think they have a very good chance of winning. But your "optimism" sounds more like delusion. Saying you think they win is sane. "No way they lose" is fanatical.

that is one way of looking at it. but I don't think that is what will happen.

the way i see it is the worst case scenario is that GB loses the next 3=4 games and gets their best draft slot in years and hopefully finds a decent OL or DL, or maybe pass rusher, best case they win 2 of the next 3-4 with Wallace and make a wildcard card run,

I actually stole that "2 in a row comment" from Mooch. So blame him. lol :P

Please!!! I don't even know who this saint chick is.  I am not bordering on anything.  I am just trying to be optimistic.  But I really do believe the Packers will win today.  How about a friendly little wager?

cd me
cd me

Yah, that's very true.  But Wallace will not be much of a factor in this game. If he can do his job and manage the ball, not get any turnovers....we have a chance. And of course, the Defense must step up and prevent the Eagles from running their offense in any way shape or form.  Ha!! But I am sure that the Packers have everything under control today. :)

robertj72

You are bordering on Saintchicka territory of fandom there, cd. Wallace MIGHT be ok. There is a way Packers could lose 2 in a row.

lots of crazy things happen when your team has a shitty QB.

As a Bears fan, if there's one thing I'm an expert on, it's shitty QB play.
