2013 Water Cooler Sports Awards Ceremony

Updated: April 18, 2013

The 2013 Water Cooler Awards kick off today at 3:07 p.m. CDT!

Welcome to the first ever Water Cooler Awards, hosted by Rourke Douglas Decker and sponsored by PAB Cola!

It’s been an amazing inaugural year for Water Cooler Sports, as we’ve grown from an obscure NFC North fan blog to a full-blown sports site with a patina of imaginary respectability. We think that’s grounds for celebration.

Imagine how excited our Water Cooler awardees will look as their names are announced.

And what better way to celebrate than with an awards ceremony?

So on this one-year anniversary of the founding of WCSN, we are taking a moment to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of those who have made this site the fun and informative place it is.

Sit back and enjoy Rourke Decker’s pathetic attempts to entertain you with his lame brand of so-called humor.

The festivities kick off promptly at 3:07 p.m. CDT, right after a message from our sponsors. After all the Water Cooler Awards have been handed out, be sure to participate in our Fan Choice poll as we award the people’s choice for Best Article and Best Writer.

Thanks again to everyone who has contributed to this site. Whether or not you win an award today, your efforts have not gone unnoticed. We deeply appreciate everything you to make WCSN a special community.

And now . . . on with the show!

Looking at this schedule for the Bears, if they pan out to what I think they should be, they could comfortably be 10-6 this season and have good odds at 11-5.

A quick scan of predictions indicates the Lions will go somewhere between 17-2 and 19-0.  The Bears will be at least 15-4 and the Vikings 16-3.

I like the Bears road schedule. I can see then winning 5 of those games.

One more piece of the puzzle. We get past the draft, and I'll have our first 2013 Power Rankings.

I expect GB to hit 10 wins. That should be good enough.

Bears have TNF in week 6, uggh, but they're at home

Johnathan Wood

Bears should have a decent reprieve down the stretch... Rams, Vikings, Cowboys, Browns, Eagles are from weeks 12-16.

I don't expect any of those teams to be above .500 this year.

Farking bye week for GB is week 4.

Anytime Rodgers is in uniform I like our chances. We'll be dogs, but not by much.

they'll get an early chance to test their new read-option defense

I said 10 to 12 wins last year.  I say the same in 2013.  Even though they'll be better (IMO), the schedules has fewer gimme games

Johnathan Wood

yeah, only one good team non-division

The season opens tough like last year. It might not be a bad thing to get a reset in week 4.

I see NO in Chicago week 5. Should be a big "L" for the Saints. Nothing odd about that.

I so want them to get one in GB. it's been long enough already.

Maybe win 1 but only if Ted trades 3 picks to move up and get a stud untested RB

I will be thrilled with a 1-1 split against GB this year.

I would be too. How good would it feel to have them win in GB though?

I have a good feeling about what he is going to do with the offense.
