Don't be shy -- call into It's Your Dime radio to talk to RantSports.com writer Dave C. Daniels about the Brett Favre situation.

Don’t be shy — call in to It’s Your Dime radio to talk to RantSports.com writer Dave C. Daniels about the Brett Favre situation.

We welcome RantSports writer Dave C. Daniels to our studio today to discuss the continuing developments with former Packers and Vikings quarterback Brett Favre.  Is the hostility between the parties really thawing, or will it be a few more years before Favre can feel welcome in TitleTown?

We will also be going into Dave’s playoff projections for 2012.  What teams are likely to earn a postseason bid this year, and what teams will be on the outside looking in?

What does Dave make of SBNation’s ranking the Bears’ linebacking corps at No. 10 in the league?

NFCNblog.com contributor Mike Gabelbauer will also be joining us to preview his controversial new piece on former Lions running back Barry Sanders.  Was Sanders everything he was cracked up to be — or one of the most overrated players in league history?

The hour will go by fast, but there is always time for you to get in on the conversation. Feel free to give us a call at (347) 426-3917 to get on the air live. We would love to hear your perspectives on the always-changing world of NFC North sports.

If you can’t get to the phone, feel free to email the show at [email protected] or tweet @ItsYourDimeShow. As always, the It’s Your Dime interactive chat room will be open for the duration the show.

The show will stream live from this page, or you can open the stream on another tab.

Did everyone die of football deficiency?

Bears LB at 10 seems about right.  Urlacher and Briggs are great, but their 3rd LB is a bit of a weak link.  Above them should be Bal, Pit, SF, then I don't know enough to know who else.  Maybe HOU.

Can anyone explain to me why so many people insist on putting "husband and father" on their Twitter descriptions?

I really like Eminem's song "Space Bound."  It has a great guitar-riff tribute to REM's "Drive" and the hook is awesome.

In case you weren't here when I announced it earlier, we have some interesting guests coming up:

On Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. CT we are joined by Creatureopolis founder Clay Neigher, an clothing designer and ardent Chicago Bears fan, to promote his line of socially responsible apparel and talk all things Chicago sports.

On Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. CT, we will be joined by former professional wrestler and current ESPN Orlando personality Larry (Lentz) Brannon, aka Vito DeNucci, for a Celebrity Chat.  He will return on Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. CT for a special two-hour edition of It's Your Dime.

First!  I hear they're talking about reasons for Viking optimism:

1) New stadium deal

2) They can't get much worse

3) It's easy to meet expectations when expectations are already so low

4) If all else fails, they can spend games ogling Matt Kalil's mom

5) They get to watch good teams play football 6 times a year with Minnesota's six division games.

6) They play the Lions twice

 @Mr._Horse

 Sounds like something I would compare to my favorite sandwich in Chicago.  It's at the Silver Palm kind of where Chicago, Milwaukee and Ogden all meet.  It's called the Three Little Piggy.  It has ham, pork tenderloin, bacon, a fried egg and gruyere cheese.

 I love pigs.  They eat apples, essentially garbage, and make bacon.

 Also keep in mind the Bears LBs are getting up there in years.

 @Nonstopdrivel

 I, myself have never set up a Twitter description so I would not know.

 @Nonstopdrivel cause you can be a husband without being a father, and a father without being a husband so they are covering all bases

 @Nonstopdrivel they are two different roles.  I am a husband but not a father.  My cousin is a father but not a husband.

 @jwoude23 Can't argue any of those points.  For me, personally, it's now knowing that it is guaranteed the Vikings are staying in MN.  I was mentally prepared for them to become the LA Vikings/Dragqueens, knowing the buttclowns in MN's legislature.   So, I'm just happy that they are here to stay.  Now I can fully enjoy their upcoming losses.

 @Gabes22  @Mr._Horse They will also eat bacon and turn it into bacon. In fact, they will eat greasy milk cartons and turn it into bacon.

 @jwoude23 Right, but I don't know why it is relevant to be placed at the top of one's Twitter. That's all I am saying.

If I am contacting you because you are a radio personality, I don't really care that you are a husband and/or father. It doesn't seem germane.

 @Natesweet  @Mr._Horse

 Turning bacon into bacon seems redundant.  Just make them eat anything else as long as they turn it into bacon.  When choosing a religion my #1 requirement was getting into a bacon line

 @Nonstopdrivel It really isn't germane.  But it's probably something they are proud of.

 @Nonstopdrivel probably has something to do with projecting a good image.  Typically the phrase "hes a husband and a father" is used to describe someone who is active in those roles and a good example.

 @Nonstopdrivel  @jwoude23 well given that many people use twitter to reconnect with past friends and family they probably feel its relevant

 @Gabes22  @jwoude23  @Natesweet expolit the shit out of mod privelidges.  If I had them, I would ask or state a controversial subject, and than based on the responses edit the original post.  Drivel needs to promote me

 And you have mod priviledges, you could just delete all other posts, until your "first" looks like it was.
